Great little sucker.



I'd been looking at the Roombas for a few months and the more I delved into the reviews, the more I realized they are a great idea, but poorly executed and apparently even more poorly supported by the manufacturer.



We have wooden floors and this guy works great. Battery life is about half an hour and we are amazed at the crap it picks up. We use it every day in our lounge and den where the dreaded-hairy-bastard-cats live. We have several of those. Picks up enough hair to make a new cat once a week.



The unit seems rugged enough but will get hung up on major transitions between flooring such as carpets.



It comes with a remote control, but we've not used that.



It does not dock by itself so you have to fetch it and plug it in to charge...but then it doesn't cost anywhere near as much as those junk Roombas.



We are very happy with this vac, and if you are looking for a little auto sucker, this is a great buy.

It has become a joke in our house at how many vacuums I go through. Whether I just can't stand how bad they are, or I break them, I could buy a new one every couple of months. Sometimes I'd own 3 at a time to do different jobs. This got tiresome.

We have hard floors with one room of berber carpet, so opted for the model without the beater.

I did add a hepa filter separately after the fact. I also bought a long crevice attachment that is bendy.

That is a nice thing about this brand is that you can add on to your existing vacuum if you change your mind later with a different filter or attachments.

I love that the cord never, ever whacks my legs when I recoil.

I love that I can lug it by the hose and it doesn't pop out of the base.

I love that the hose never kinks or bends.

I love how easily the pieces fit together without coming apart mid vacuum.

I love the dial with pictures on the top of the vacuum to adjust the flow from hard floors to rugs to drapes.

I love that you can switch it from hard to carpet with one fllip of your foot on the base.

I love how quiet it is (and so do the cats and kids).

I love that it has no fancy electronics to break.

I love how simple and easy it is to pull around and to change the bag.

I love that it actually does the job and picks up dog hair to popcorn.

I use this vacuum once or twice a day since we have 4 boys, 5 cats and huge german shepherd dog.

I could've bought 10 of these for what I've spent on crap vacs in the past.

I have had this for about a month now and I frequently use it. At first I thought it was broken because the blade would not start unless the cap clicks on completely and if its even just a tad off, it will not start. The blade on this thing is incredibly sharp, and quite frankly, a little scary to try and clean, (I've already cut myself trying to wash the blade). One slight problem I had with this is that that when the blade spins, it tosses everything in an upwards direction, making me having to often stop and try to push the food back down and sometimes I end up with the top of the food still in chunks while the bottom is pretty much disintegrated beyond recognition. Non the less, its still a pretty powerful machine!
