I have purchased two Cuisinart Food Processors and both failed within a short period of time. After the first one failed, it was just off warranty and since I DID like the way it could be used to process food, I purchased a second unit, which again failed within a very short time. This time I sent it back to the company with a request for repair or exchange. When it was returned, it worked twice. I gave up, dumped it, and purchased a Hamilton Beach unit with which I have been quite pleased so far.
