We bought this vacuum overe 6 motns ago. It worked great at picking up deep carpet dirt and animal hair. But 3 months later it broke (you could not switch settings). We took it into the authorized repair facility and they said they would have it fixed in a week or so. Now 3 months later we still do not have a vacuum. We have called Dyson Customer service at first they said the part was on back order, then a month ago we were told the part would ship on a Monday. As of 5/5/2010 we still do not have a vacuum to speak of. If this is how Dyson stands behind their vacuums then I would recommend everyone to stay away. If your vacuum breaks you are going to be out the cost of a vacuum.
